About the Program

Academy

Academy soccer is for players U9-U12. Limited travel is required. Players from U9-U10 play 7v7 soccer. Players from U11-U12 play 9v9 soccer. Players U13 and older play 11v11 soccer.

Select

Select soccer is for players U13-U19. Traveling is required. The game format is 11v11 and travel and training commitments vary depending on the level of the team.

DPL / NPL South Atlantic Premier League

NPL/DPL are the higher levels offered by Georgia Impact. The girls will participate in the SouthEast Conference (DPL). The boys will participate in the South Atlanta Premier League (NPL)​

Tryouts

In order to play competitive soccer, all players must attend tryouts. No exceptions.

All of our programs use Badger Creek Park for training.

Academy

Academy

Academy Soccer prepares players to progress at the Select level and beyond through a dedicated coaching staff that provides quality, age-appropriate instruction at these key age groups. Academy is the most competitive program offered for U9 - U12 players. The focus is on the development of the individual player in a group setting, and a low coach-to-player ratio allows for consistent player support.

 

Our Academy Program and coaches are led by Robert Roddie, Ross Keenan, Fernando De Barros, and Wesley Lutz, in close coordination with our coaching staff.

Academy is a year-round program: fall, and spring. Fall (August to November) and Spring (February to May). Academy players train twice a week. 90 minutes for each training session.

Select

Select / SCCL

Our Select teams compete at the highest competitive level within Georgia Soccer (USYS), as well as in various elite leagues across the country.

 

Coached by our professional and paid coaching staff, Select teams train 2-3 times a week, compete in 8-10 League games, and will attend 1-2 tournaments throughout each season (Fall/Spring). Positions within the Select Program are year-long commitments for a 9-10 month season, August through May. Select teams that are U15 or older do not host any official practices from Dec-April due to Georgia High School season.

  • Each age group will aim to have an Elite team and a Premier team.

  • Elite teams train 3 times a week - Premier teams train 2 times a week

National League

DPL / NPL South Atlantic Premier League

The US Youth Soccer National League provides the top league competition in USYS and is comprised of the following areas of competition:
 

  • DPL (Girls): The league's mission is to develop the player and empower the person in a purposeful and memorable environment. The league's vision is to allow players to showcase their talent, discover collegiate opportunities, and create community around the game. The DPL is a standards-driven national league connected to the Girls Academy that will encourage clubs to compete and grow, maximizing the development of their players.   • NPL/SAPL (Boys): NPL is a US Club soccer-affiliated league. Our teams will play under the South Atlanta Premier League Conference. The NPL will serve youth soccer by forming and collaborating with leagues, adopting the Player's First Philosophy, and supporting US Club Soccer's mission to foster the development of clubs. U13-U14 teams play also full seasons in the spring on top of high-level tournaments.

During the Spring, U15 teams play in the highest SCCL divisions and U15-U19 teams attend high-level tournaments and College Showcases.

Tryouts

Tryouts

All players wanting to participate in Competitive Soccer must attend tryouts. All tryouts are held at Badger Creek Park unless otherwise indicated. Players are welcome to sign up online or to sign-up on-site upon arrival. 

​

All tryout evaluations are done by our coaching staff, and tryout decisions will be made within 48 hours from the last day of tryouts.

​

Tryouts are held during the Summer (Late May- Early June) and during the MidSeason (January)
